Thank you for your week’s presentation on 3-D printing. I enjoyed all your materials and resources that were enthusiastically gathered and presented. Designing my 3-D GeoCity in one of the application was fun and well scaffolded, and rather motivational. I’ve learned how 3-D printing has a great potential in changing not only the medical field, but also the field of science, math, education, etc and in my prediction, most importantly Art and Design field. It’s important to note that this technology is in its infancy stage and in terms of more intricate materials use and design and its associated affordable costs, we still need to go some distances. Regardless, this is an exciting field not just for education but in general. However, I still believe that “old school” shop skills learned (e.g. carpentry) are of great value and 3-D printing could be used to enrich it but not completely replace it Thank you again for an interesting week!
