Great job Chad! You are convincing and easy to listen to! I like how your introduce yourself but get right to the point! You may have provided more information in your elevator pitch than needed as the ending didn't leave me feeling like I needed more info. It did however grab my interest as I think that is a great concept and idea. Your Venture Pitch is simple, yet detailed. I think you could have picked a different clip art as the elephant didn't seem like the right fit but that is such a small suggestion. I like your layout and spacing of your writing as it doesn't seem too content heavy or overwhelming to read. Overall, I like your product and would invest as I think it is a valuable tool for teachers and students/parents a like!

REVIEW: I think the clarity of your elevator pitch was excellent. You did a fantastic job of introducing your product. One really small thing is that I think you may have said Masters of Information Technology instead of MET. Your pitch made me want to learn more and check out your site. I also liked how you tied in the guidance counselor element to your product. Your weebly site is very well organized and clearly laid out. You have defined all of the major categories very well. I also like how you clearly defined the features of your product. One suggestion, and this is totally a personal preference type of thing, would be to put the picture of the elephant with the string on its finger up near the header of your site and maybe also include it somewhere in your elevator pitch. That will stick with people and help to create a brand awareness I think...

REVIEW: Chad, really enjoyed your elevator pitch, concise, well worded and your enthusiasm shone through. Your weebly site articulated the EVA analysis for RemindE and its differenciation within the app market. For your venture, to show your competitive edge in more detail I would add more distinctive features that your app provides as well as a few more competitors and how they differ from your app. I am surprised that there is only one other app on the market that does what your product does. You addressed the fact that your app would provide more privacy since phone numbers would not be used, how then does your app work to communicate between students and teachers? What would happen if a student transfers schools or changes timetables and changes classes to another teacher? Would they still have access to the school app and licensing or need to get it at their new school? If so, how does the transfer of data work in this regard (privacy issues). What about students who do not have a desktop at home or possibly access to a mobile device? Would you also cater to that market of district schools? I would certainly advocate for my district to invest in your app. A great tool and one students would certainly benefit from!

Feedback, Hi Chad, I loved you elevator pitch. You were very professional and well spoken. You definitely have experience in the field and your venture pitch was very detailed. You were so well spoken in your elevator pitch that I felt like I wanted to hear/see you tell me more in your venture pitch, rather than read it. I wonder if you could imbed some more videos into your venture pitch. James.

Review: Tobin, in your elevator pitch you looked very clear and confident. Your weebly presentation was interesting as you used various tools to engage readers. Your differentiation analysis and reasons of using Remind-E is excellent and impressive. Your plan to use various marketing strategies seems impressive and exciting. The competitive analysis of your venture is detailed and meticulate, which shows that Remind-E will have a competitive edge in the market. I can clearly see that your professional experience as a guidance counsellor made your product / venture valid, genuine and factual. This definitely proves that there will be a huge demand of Remind-E. Therefore I will be happy recommend your venture for investment.

Another thing I would like to suggest is, it would enhance your pitch if you could spend a few moments talking about your credentials.

REVIEW: I'm very much a visual person and I love your super-friendly product logo! It sets a positive image for your company right away. Your elevator pitch is confident and compelling and I will invest in your venture. If I may make a suggestion, it is to situate the pitch in an office environment rather than your living room so that it comes across as more professional. Well done, you should be proud.

Review: Well done in front of the camera! Very difficult to do but you pulled it off. You were clear on your product, why it is needed and what it will do. I’d highlight your differentiator a bit more - why is the guidance office connection important? Since this is a fictional company I’m thinking you might need an MVP before you could ask for money. I’m not sure if you’d get the cash to code or not. I really liked your site. It had a clean look that made it easy to navigate. I like the elephant and the ASK IT visual. This really helped me understand your product. I would have included this in your video with a cut away to the product. I like the direct connection to the guidance counsellor and this makes it explicit. Your pricing model is a good one too. Rather than individual purchases you have one price. This could easily be expanded to a district price. Investors may ask what your recurring revenue might be since you seem to have one time pricing. You have stiff competition with Remind (just changed their name I think) that claims 1 in 5 teachers in the US uses the app (and it is free for educators) so your differentiators, which you explained clearly are important if you are to grab the other 4 out of 5 teachers not using their app. One error I noticed was the button on this page - http://remind-e.weebly.com/differentiation.html - it reads “CLICK ON THE ELEPHANT BELOW TO SEE HOW MARKETING!”

Feedback: Good to put yourself out there in the pitch! I think it says a lot about your confidence that you are speaking directly to the camera. From an investment standpoint, it was good you laid out a marketing plan and strategy; it made it easier to gage the potential of the product. There is a thoughtful comparison between your product and others which is very helpful. I do think that without sales, a 25% stake for an investor is too small. Given the risk, they would likely require a much larger portion of the ownership.

REVIEW- I was ready to learn more about your venture after viewing your elevator pitch. You were very confident and well-spoken, it definitely got me intrigued. First off, your website is clean and well-presented. I love the elephant—so cute! You thoroughly execute a critical EVA. The phone reminder image examples really brought the venture to life. This venture is definitely affordable, making it more desirable for consumers and attractive for investors. I appreciated the thorough competition analysis. I thought it was very smart to highlight the privacy and security features that make Remind-E different from competitors. However, I am concerned that the product name is very similar to Remind 101. Yes, I think I would invest in this venture. The only problem I have is that you are evaluating your company at $200,000 with no sales or proof of concept in the market, and just on projections for the future. I think I would ask for a counter offer before I invest (sorry, I think I watch too much Dragon’s Den and Shark Tank). Overall, a solid effort and great execution!
