Week 12 Review

By yikwah on August 7, 2014

Hi Group 12,

Thank you for engaging and interesting OER on wearable technologies! I really liked how you had the class create their own wearables, and I found all the activities both interesting and thought provoking. Wearable technologies are certainly going to make an impact in our classrooms in the near future, and have already started to make inroads on that front. Overall I felt that your group utilized both the launchpad and google + community platforms well. Your OER itself was well laid out and intuitive, which made it easy to follow.

On another sort of related note, I just recently stumbled across Google Cardboard (http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2014/aug/02/are-you-ready-for-virtual-reality-revolution-google-cardboard), which goes to show that wearable technologies could be easily accessible to even the cost-contentious consumer in the near future.

Thank you for taking the time to review our OER. We appreciate your feedback. The goal was to make navigation intuitive so thanks for noticing :) I haven't heard of Google Cardboard. Thanks for sharing. As I mentioned in another post I think our OER will be obsolete very quickly!
