Hi Elisabeth, I thought that your venture pitch was presented in a very professional and clear manner. I really like all the visuals you included and specifically thought the visualizations of the product being used was particularly powerful. I also thought that your analysis of the market and potential competitors did a very good job of situating your product and its marketability. In general I believe that though there are similar products to yours in the market place, none of these products have become dominant in the market place, so there is still a lot of opportunity. Finally having such a strong team aligned with your product greatly strengthens its chance of success. Overall a very impressive and convincing presentation.

Thanks for sending the material so quickly! Overall, I think this idea is really great. I’ve been to many museums and this software would be fantastic. As an investor, I like the idea that my investment is tax deductible and that I am essentially paying for advertising through naming rights. This means, of course, that I get quite a bit of bang for my buck in my investment. I would say, however, that the elevator pitch could use some work. You are asking me to invest in a tech savvy product, but the video (at least when I watched it) was not clear and the audio and video were not synced perfectly. This makes me question what the end product will look like in terms of performance and design. Since both of these are vital to the success of the venture, I’m not entirely optimistic at this point.

Very interesting idea, and because the $500,000 over ten years is tax deductible (though to what amount is unclear) this could be a very cost-efficient to advertise and develop branding for our firm. Using the existing museum team, which has done previous work building digital experiences, means that Tour+ can be continuously updated and closely aligned with current museum content. Moreover, the opportunities for future expansion of Tour+ into other markets means this technology is potentially wide-reaching and profitable. Not having any claim on those potential profits would be the downside of an investment in this venture. Our contribution of $4200 per month buys us only name association and exposure. We have no ability to improve these returns through our active involvement in the project and are instead relegated to a completely passive role. However, this could be a cost-effective way to supplement our existing advertising initiatives. I must recommend we invest in this project.

Elizabeth, your venture is a very appealing one in the sense that you have taken one of the most common custom of a student's educational career; fieldtrips to the museum and given it that technological integration that it so desperately needs. What draws me into your venture, speaking from the perspective of an investor and buyer is the fact that you have described how sometimes just look at objects and reading texts is not always suited to ones' idea of compression. They key selling point of this product is that it caters to diverse learners and this is what could possibly draw in investors because one the school district is a huge market and the number of struggling students in classrooms is quite large. In terms of promoting this product, what can be said about schools that are underfunded or come for low income communities? How much would it cost to rent technology from the museum? Will you you be offering any incentives as first time clients? In terms of how successful this product could be in aiding ones learning, will there be a launch of a pilot project where a few classrooms are chosen to go to the museum and use the technology and will provide feedback from a user’s perspective? As a potential investor, I would want to review some feedback from trials and experimentations so there is room to make adjustments before launching the product. Overall, your product is presented quite effectively and with a few clarifications and ideas for expanding to a global market, this product has huge potential.

I visited the Louvre over the summer and they offered visitors Nintendo systems for rent, which act as an audiovisual guide to museum artifacts; however, I think your venture supports a different market, as it has tools and features beneficial for students, such as scavenger hunts.
