Hi everyone!
My name is Christy Hui. I am originally from Hong Kong. I studied in my home city before I moved to Vancouver, where I received my undergraduate degree at Simon Fraser University, majoring in Economics. After my graduation, I moved back to Hong Kong and began working as a research analyst. I then became actively involved in two major campaigns between the years of 2011 and 2012. Through this remarkable experience, I was amazed by the impact of different forms of media on mobilization and I realized the importance of media literacy especially on young people before they become eligible voters. Currently, I am a visiting fellow at Ash Center of the Kennedy School with research interests in areas of democratic development and media literacy. At the same time, I am working on a project to promote informed voting in Hong Kong via implementation of a smartphone app, which will be launched early next year. I am especially interested in learning more about developing my ideas and pioneering efficiently.
I am looking forward to learning with you all this semester!

Cheers,
