Hi. I’m Dan. I grew up in Vancouver, but currently live and work in Calgary. I am the Assistant Principal at a small elementary school (K-5) and I’ve worn a variety of hats over my 17 years in education (7 in Vancouver & 10 in Calgary) with almost all of them involving technology in some way.
This summer I had an amazing time touring the WWI & WWII battlefields in Normandy, France with educators from all across Canada. And as the perfect counterpoint to all things digital in my life, I have recently taken up analogue photography.
My interest in this course lies mainly with gaining a new perspective on evaluating new technologies for their potential implementation and impact upon student engagement and achievement.
