Analyst Report – edmettle

I was recently introduced to this online social network and feedback management tool that teaches students hireable skills through online badges that can be endorsed by both the teacher and the student. This web tool was founded and is currently managed by a Canadian teacher with a passion for improving student assessment and evaluation. It is free and easy to sign up and in my analyst report I have taken a closer look at what the future could be for this digital assessment platform.

Hi Rebecca; I really liked your report. It shows the infancy of a new venture. It seams like it would be a low cost, low risk venture for the founder and he's most likely passionate about his work. I like the idea of using badges for classrooms and systems that support communication around the student and their needs. Although; 3500 users doesn't seem like a lot of user acceptance. I think the idea has potential but my instincts tell me that the scope of the product would have to increase to appeal to a broader user base (i.e. not just soft skills). It would be nice to see information or testimonials on how well the product works.
