Review - Edsecute is a good idea and I think it could be useful for quite a few schools and districts. It basically seems to be an educational/information technology outsourcing firm at its core. There is nothing inherently bad about that, I am more biased to having internal personnel. I would have like to have seen a cost benefit breakdown of hiring internal versus external to show that as a company you can deliver a real value. I am worried about the footprint of the business since it does seem to be limited in the market locations you will have to work with in the beginning. Eventually once a reputation is established, a larger national presence shouldn’t be an issue but at the start it might be. My big question for this venture is that if you are merely existing as a service provider of information, why do you need venture capitalist funding at all. It doesn’t seem like any money is going towards development of products or that much R&D. Once an established knowledge pool is created, it seems fairly routine from market to market.

THANK YOU: Thank you all for your feedback and review. You have all been extremely helpful and if I was to make this a real venture I would definitely take all your comments into consideration.

FEEDBACK: I would have to respectfully disagree with Danielle. I actually really liked that the venture pitch is split into several videos instead of merged into one. Personally when I watch a long video i lose interest and tune out mid video and have to force myself to pay attention. With the videos divided it allowed me to learn about Edsecute in short intervals which motivated me to want to go to the next video to learn more about the venture.

Edsecute Review: I definitely enjoyed the slogan. However I did not see the need of separating the venture pitch into 4 different videos. I believe the overall impression would have been stronger if all the information was presented in a single video. The pain point also seems very large and I am not sure that the company can address all of the issues detailed in the elevator pitch. The target market is clearly identified, yet I do not know how the company will reach this market. I also am unsure if there are any direct competitors to Edsecute. The team although not clearly identified seems to have the potential know-how to see this company through. Numbers are provided detailing the importance of the market, yet I did not see the direct relationship between them and the proposed solution. The presentation is professional and the presenter came across as knowledgeable and confident. My main concern, as an investor, is that I have no idea how much the company charges nor what is the projected clientele basis. These are numbers that I would need to see before investing in Edsecute.

Feedback: Your explanation of Edsecute's approach is very clear, and it is easy to understand how the firm's services would be extremely valuable for clients. Your presentation(s) has confidence and style. One of the main questions left unanswered for me was, beyond vendors, who are your competition. Are there really no other firms or organizations offering this type of service? Also, while your self-deprecating approach to presenting the hypothetical team was unique, I think that for investors to be convinced, they would want to see the strengths and know-how of the CEO and "champions" placed front and centre. Overall, with a little more substance added to the existing style I think that this pitch could attract some interest. Nice job!

FEEDBACK: Your videos are well produced and informative. Definitely a professional way of communicating your point. This alone helps me take Edsecute seriously. It is appealing how you play to approach each client on a case by case basis. With so many tech vendors trying to push certain products for questionable financial reasons, its refreshing to have Edsecute exclusively interested in the good of their clientele.

Review-Glad to see another person that likes using multimedia and knows how to design the work. Good job! Just one technical comment on using lettering on video-it's a good idea to give yellow an outline, it becomes difficult to read. Now that being said, these are my thoughts. I thought the presentation was very effective in terms of visuals, however, this is a pitch and I would have preferred to see an actual “ask”- how much are you seeking and specifically for what. It was very vague and basically you asked the watcher to go to the venture pitch to learn anything. The elevator pitch should have been a shortened venture pitch including the financing you require. Venture Pitch You provide us with some great insight and questions on how choosing an educational learning platform is quite baffling for many companies. Using your service would provide a good framework for someone to choose the appropriate platform. However, I was not sure if you are building some type of framework where all the strengths and weaknesses were going to be shown, or you would just go in and evaluate what they have to what is better suited for them. Are you promoting a service, a product, both? I would have grouped all the videos into one rather than breaking them up as you did. Glad to see you are at arms length with all the vendors and aren’t in any partnerships with them. Perhaps you should have used the words “Non-disclosure agreement” in the script. To give you a heads up- you did not know this but you have created a catchy phrase with your Edsecute. That was a good thing! In the venture pitch you did not say for what the monies would be used for-was it to build this framework, did it involve salaries? Will you outsource the creation? Is the framework going to be different for each client. How were you going to market the product out there. Any social media campaigns? What obstacles do you have to overcome to create this framework, has there been a needs assessment? perhaps a light survey on what specifics it should have from a list of clients.. I think you need to re-work the pitch to include some of these suggestions, then it would be a go from me for going forward and looking for investment.

FEEDBACK: You have done an excellent job of identifying a valid pain point. From my experience in schools, educators and administrators are often hesitant to use technology as they are not trained how to use it. This is definitely a major problem. Many schools have the resources and technology but are not using it to its full potential. There is a market for this venture in the education system.

REVIEW I'm going to go ahead and recommend proceeding with edsecute. If I can start with the superficial observations ... the name is catchy. The name itself makes me curious to find out more. On a slighly deeper level, the videos are very consistent in quality and content. They add to the professional appear of edsecute. From what I can understand, eduscute is a IT consultation company. As explained in the video "who we are" their focus is schools and they are not only technology experts, but they are also educators. That is a unique angle for an IT consultation company. Most of It consultants have a wide array of clients that may include business such as a lawyer's office, a real estate office, perhaps a head office and in that mix there may be one school. Such consultants will have the expertise to fix problems but may not have the expertise to advise on a 3-5 year long term growth within an educational landscape. I recommend proceeding with edscute. My only suggestion for this venture pitch is there needs to be a bit more clarity as to what services they plan to offer. Perhaps a concrete example or a scenario would help the investor to understand the scope of their professional services. In a future iteration, I suggest reduce the three videos in the "Learn More About Us" tab by 18-20 seconds each and made a fourth video about 60 seconds long explaining a situated example of your services in action. This would be extremely helpful to school administrators, because there isn’t really any service that can help guide technology choices. I really like how the company comes to look at what is needed instead of trying to place certain products into the environment. The case you make that the company is tied to the market and not to a certain technology is a very compelling one.
