My name is Laura Yankov, and I teach Modern Languages for grades 9-12 in Abbotsford, BC. I am originally from Argentina, where I taught History and Social Studies from grades 8-12 for seven years before coming to Canada.
This is my 9th course in the MET program (I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now), and I am also taking ETEC 590 this Summer. It’s been two and a half years since I began the MET journey, and although I really enjoyed it, I long to finish it by August and get over with it (some mixed feelings here, I know).
I like the structure that ETEC 522 offers, which is similar to the ETEC 565M course that I took last semester. It’s nice to stay away from Blackboard a little bit and do things in a different way in this weblog. Although I have some concerns about this course ( it’s taking me away from my comfort zone), I am willing to accept the challenge, and take the risk to learn about new technology trends.
Looking forward to work with all of you!
