Hello from Lisa in Vancouver!

By Lisa D on May 15, 2016

Hello! My name is Lisa Dyck and I have an educational background in English, Publishing, and Communications. This is my third MET course, and I am very excited by the unique format outlined on this site. I live in Vancouver and work for the Faculty of Medicine at UBC, a program that is founded on a distributed training model and is supported by a number of educational technologies.

What drew me to this course was the idea of ‘opportunity development’. Being involved in the change and integration of technology in education is a passion of mine, and I believe that this course will provide a great foundation. Looking forward to the discussion ahead!

Welcome to the course Lisa. I am very interested in this "distributed training model" at the UBC Med School. I teach in the paramedic programs at Georgian College and some of our courses are done online while others are blended. There is no cohesive strategy to our delivery, so I would be interested in learning more about your system. Rob
