Erin,

Your presentation of the Canvas LMS has succinctly captured the market position of Canvas in the LMS market against its main competitors Blackboard and Moodle. I appreciate the research that you conducted to compare the market shares that Canvas has penetrated approximately 5% of the market. Given that the educational market is vast with opportunities at universities, colleges, and private schools, this is quite a large percentage, since it has only been available since 2010, six years is a quick capture of the market. Moodle has been around since 2002 (14 years), which I feel may be a disadvantage for organizations using legacy technology and Canvas having an advantage to be able to design sleeker user interfaces because technology has changed so much in the 8 year gap between Moodle and Canvas.
