Hello everyone! My name is Sarah and I’m originally from Ottawa, Canada, but I’ve been living in the United Arab Emirates for the past 8 years. I work at a local university as a project manager for mobile learning professional development(PD). In my current role, I develop, coordinate and conduct PD for faculty focusing on mobile technology, however, I just found out that my role has been expanded to include all learning technology PD. Thankfully, it is now the EID break and I have a week off before I need to delve into this. Another aspect of my job is evaluating tools and services to help decide if the institution would like to purchase them, so I’m hoping this course helps me develop my skills at doing this.
My other two passions are travel and photography. You can view some of my favourite images on my website. More will be added soon since I’m off to Sri Lanka for the week break to enjoy the green hills and experience some rain. We didn’t have much this summer when I was in Canada and it only happens 4 or 5 times a year in Dubai, so I miss the smells and sounds of it.
