Hello! My name is Cris. I am originally from Toronto, Canada but having been living and teaching abroad for the last 5 years. I was previously based in Hong Kong where I was the ICT Educational Specialist for the secondary section of an international school, but recently opted for a slower pace of life in Singapore where I have access to grass and an apartment over 400 square feet. My current role is teaching Gr 8-10 Language and Literature at a Canadian international school where I am constantly told to slow down.
Perhaps my concept of cities is now skewed. This is my 9th course in the MET program and I am ecstatic to take this class as entrepreneurship is of great importance to me and became a large part of my life while living in Hong Kong. In a place known for startups, the densely populated city is seeped in networking, co-oping spaces, competitive drive, pop-up companies, and innovative ideas. I hope to learn more about ventures in learning technologies not only to better support the students I am supervising for their Personal Projects (on gaming), but to perhaps further pursue this route myself.
Looking forward to connecting and collaborating!
