I chose to do my report in a more personal manner with a small company that I have my sights set on investing in. I think this course will allow me to do the research necessary to build an understanding of how the company operates before investing. I personally know the president/CEO of the company, Grant Ashlee, and have taught with him for the last five years, up until his retirement last June. Grant was also my high school math teacher (he was Mr. Ashlee then and I was the first class he test ran his courses on!). Anyways, the opportunity I have had in my current job to design and develop courses has led me to Content Connections and their expansion into other core subject areas fits with my English and Social Studies background.
This small investment opportunity is something I have been considering for sometime (first the course development offer and for Assignment #3, a more detailed business analysis) and this course is giving me the push to do the research and take the next step. Therefore, this presentation will not be presented to any true investors other than myself (and possibly a team teacher and co-developer).
