Hello from Quesnel!

By Marshall Hacker on January 5, 2018

Hello everyone,

This is my first semester in the MET program and I am enrolled in 2 courses ETEC 522 and ETEC 530.

The original plan was to pursue a career as a Machinist, however, a workplace injury has now put me on a new career path. I have recently completed my BEd and am excited to pass on my trades knowledge of the trades to my future students as their Trades and Technology teacher. I am currently working as a substitute teacher in a small Northern community in B.C. called Quesnel.

Having grown up in rural communities for most of my life I am no stranger to eLearning and the benefits it can have for rural students. It is my hope that I will be able to provide greater eLearning opportunities to the students in rural areas of B.C. as a result of taking this interesting and exciting program.

I look forward to collaborating with all of you in the near future.

Marshall

Here is a little photo I took in the fall of a river that is near my home
