Hi everyone, my name is Katie Cowen and I live in beautiful Kamloops, BC with my husband and our 6-month-old yellow lab Finn. I’m an outdoor enthusiast and love traveling around BC and the world to experience new geography and customs – this year so far, I’ve been to Aruba and San Francisco.
I have taught various grades over the past 4 years and have recently accepted a brand-new position as a primary PE teacher. Although I haven’t been teaching for long, I have seen first-hand how technology has become such an integrated aspect in classroom instruction. The reason I decided on ETEC 522, is because I want to be an educator who is able to utilize new technologies to give students the ultimate learning experience. I’m hoping that it pushes me and gives me the confidence in learning and creating technologies so I am able to continually 
improve my teaching practice.
