Why NextLesson?
NextLesson provides teachers with lessons that make the learning process more inviting by engaging students in real-world problems through topics they care about. NextLesson offers over 3,000 K-12 educational lessons covering a wide range of Math, Social Studies, ELA and Science concepts. Step-by-step lessons are available to download with multiple means of representation including projects, performance tasks and interactive activities to name a few. According to Edmodo, NextLesson has been used by over 60,000 teachers and 2 million students, and was the #1 app in the Edmodo store in 2013 and 2014.
Biography of Founder and CEO – Dion Lim
Dion Lim has an extensive background in successful consumer companies both at large and small scales. He is a strong believer that education and technology is ever-changing and has a passion for promoting this change through a variety of past and current business developments including: Quote.com, Epinions (now Shopping.com), Evite and most recently, NextLesson. Throughout his career, he has acquired a range of skills such as finance, product development, operations, management and leadership, that makes him the ultimate entrepreneur. Having had personal experience as an advisory board member for many companies, he acknowledges the value of a strong advisory team when it comes to his own company, NextLesson. There is a vast amount of information on Google accrediting his accomplishments as well as many social media profiles in which he has a number of connections and followers.

NextLesson depends on their advisors, who are experienced educators, to help them in the development of relevant products and lessons that students, teachers and districts love (nextlesson.org). The emphasis NextLesson puts on their investors and advisors confirms that they value and appreciate their contributions. With approximately 10 team members, 20 advisors and 15 investors, NextLesson seems to have established a reliable, professional team with a variety of educational expertise. This team seems to have all business aspects covered; no more reinventing the wheel with NextLesson.
