Hi everyone,
Scribe Right aims to fix a problem technology is making worse: printing skills. Using Augmented Reality glasses, preferably Microsoft Hololens when we partner with them, students wearing the glasses will be able to speak and have the glasses display their ideas on a sheet of paper. Students can then use a pencil and trace over projected writing. Scribe Right is built for the classroom and incorporates badges to help students stay motivated and offers reports and screen captures of student’s progress. Scribe Right also offers differentiated levels of writing, such as dotted letters, lines inside of letters with tracing arrows and printing above the work to have students copy. I believe that in the next 5-10 years we will be seeing more and more students starting school without the ability to hold a pencil. At the same time, in the next 5-10 years wearable devices are going to be implemented in the education field. Using this emerging technology to solve a problem that is increasingly getting worse is harmonious.
