Hello from Burnaby, B.C.

By Judy Tai on May 8, 2019

Hi everyone,

My name is Judy and I am a grade one teacher at the Burnaby school district. This is my third year teaching primary grades. Prior to teaching in Burnaby, I taught at two separate special education private schools. These invaluable experiences are definitely an eye-opener and led me to want to delve deeper into educational technology. Aside from teaching, I spend a lot of time painting as my method of destressing. Since art is a big interest of mine, it is so important for me to encourage my grade ones to be creative, hands-on, artists.

While I work on my own side project, my cat (Chewy) enjoys napping beside me.

I am very excited to be back in school and is eager to find out what I could learn from this program. This is my very first semester in the MET program, not sure what to expect just yet, but I look forward to connecting with all of you.

Hi Judy! This is also my first semester in the MET program and I noticed that you are also in ETEC 500 with me! I love art; it is so sad that we do less and less of it as we grow older unless we really make an effort to make room in our busy schedule. I recently attended a bridal shower where the bride-to-be gave us all a canvas and paint. It was such glorious fun! When I look at what I've produced and your photos here, I am in awe of your skills. Nice to meet you!
