I have been working as an educational technologist for the past 9+ years in an all-girls K-12 school in Toronto. I truly love what I do, but I only arrived at this role through a circuitous career route spanning many years. Some facts about me that may be of interest are…
- I’m a classically trained composer with a Master of Music degree from McGill
- I worked in retail and IT management for 10 years before moving into education
- In 2001, I created and sold my own commercial app for Palm OS-based handheld devices to a national company. It remained in use (with frequent custom feature additions) for 10 years
As a passionate educator focused on human-centered design, I draw heavily on my artistic, business and humanities experiences. These are well aligned with my understandings of entrepreneurial and social innovation practice, and 522 seems like a wonderful way to cultivate these sensibilities and interests!
