my wife, Sheryl, and I at Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon in Iceland
Hi Everyone!
For some reason, I was locked out of this course for all of last week. But some techy support people at UBC got things straightened out and now it’s game on!
A little about me – I grew up on a farm outside a tiny town in Southern, Alberta. (Welling if you want to Google map it and confirm my claim of its tiny-ness). I spent a couple years in California, but then eventually came back to Alberta and got my B.Ed from U of A in Edmonton where I met my wife. We’ve been married for 12 years and are currently expecting our 5th, (yup, you read that right, 5th!) child in April. Life is a party for us – full of baseball, gymnastics, choir, cubs, brownies, piano, and seemingly every other possible thing that any child could be interested in! But it’s a blast. I work in the city of Calgary but then commute home to where we live in Chestermere….enjoying a slower pace outside the city.
In our spare time (if any!), we love to ski, snowboard, ride quads and snowmobiles, hike, camp, and fish. For our 12th anniversary last year, my inlaws watched our kids for 2 weeks and we took a long-awaited trip to Iceland. We took our tent, rented an SUV and we camped our way around the entire island. It was awesome!!
