Whympr, Social learning on Mountain safety!

By anouk tenten on January 25, 2020

Whympr is an online App for mountain activities and safety. It is a social platform where people can learn and engage on diverse mountain activities.

The Funding pitch contains all the elements a good investment pitch needs. The problem is clear and their solution too.

As well as what they need from investors and what the ROI is for an investor.

Of course, this is the first step of the enterprise app as, as soon as, they are having multiple users this app can collect data and work with AI to control mountain safety and predict situations better. People are then able to learn online the situation and actions that needs to be taken prior going into the mountains. So I think that the ROI of entering this startup from the beginning will be beneficial.

The website is in French – but web page translate I am hoping you are able to read everything.

Yes I would invest in Whympr, as this Social Learning App Pitch was really well set up. As I am often in the mountains myself I understood the "problem" - I must admit as a completely independent EVA who does not know anything about mountains or mountain sports, this pitch might have been less appealing. However they made the problem very clear and what their service is bringing in terms of solution. The CEO and the team are all reputable and experienced people and they have a full team of "ambassadors" behind then and also some prominent people in the mountain sport backing up this start up. The investment needs and next steps are made very clear and also what the ROI will be for an investor. A clear revenue and price strategy is often lacking in pitches but also this was very well presented. Overall, if you are not familiar with this topic it might be very rare to invest in this but for the people understanding sports, community learning, safety and social engagement this pitch was very well set up. They reached above "pitch value" within 4 weeks.
