EVA Analysis chose to analyze the non-profit Girl Effect after researching women-led ventures with missions to improve the lives of girls and women. Girl Effect’s call to action matches that of one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: challenge harmful norms, traditional gender stereotyping, and sexist beliefs to improve the lives of girls and women (2015). The non-profit partners with corporate enterprises, governments, philanthropic organizations, and NGOs to affect change for girls and young women by using mobile technologies to disseminate and collect crucial information related to the topics of education, healthcare (sexual and reproductive health, vaccination, etc.), gender equality and more.
