Mobile learning is quickly becoming a buzz word in the world of education. This excitement and growth is driven by opportunities it creates in education. It is appearing in all areas of education from the public system, to corporate training, to personal growth. As infrastructure and access to mobile technology improves around the world mobile learning is becoming accessible to a quickly increasing percentage of the world’s population.
Mobile learning has the potential to improve access as well as the learning experience. Hardware and software is also branded as mobile learning to sell regardless of its ability to improve the educational process or feasibility. This creates a scenario where we are flooded with products, devices, and flashy advertising and determining what has potential and what does not challenging.
Mobile Learning is being introduced and pushed in Kindergarten to Grade 7 classrooms around the world. Here will we view the current state and consider some of the opportunities that exist within this fast moving and changing marketplace.
