Hi from North Vancouver

hi classmates, My name is Dave and I am teacher in a high school in West Vancouver. I teach film and photography. Shockingly I am full time with those courses even though the high school is not that big. I have been teaching there since 2012. Before that I taught in Anahim Lake elementary in […]

Great add on to the electricity units and with 3D modelling. I was thinking that if you were able to get electricity to flow through the 3D model that the applications would go far beyond just what could be achieved with the classroom. Wouldn't businesses and toy developers be interested in this tech?

Interesting idea. I was wondering when I watched you elevator pitch was if this could could be an app for google glass or something like that. Not sure if anyone uses google glass. It would be cool if the EduHUD was able to determine if a student was lying by changes in their body temperature or something. As far as investing goes I am wary of having to create the hardware and the software. I would be more interested if it was just the hardware with many applications or just the software for a google glass thing.

Great pitch. You detailed out what your product is and how it works. You also provided numbers of how much capital that you are looking to raise. My only thought was why is the focus on lessons, where teachers that I work with focus more on units?

I agree with everyone who has stated that the acronym of CPR (your pitch) would be very confusing for people who use CPR (to keep people alive). As far as an investor goes, I want to see this system work with different markets other than nursing before I consider investing.

Hi everyone, thanks for your reviews. I agree with most of your comments. I wish I could go back and add a couple things to my Venture project. As far as the "on hiatus" part of it, I think that an app developer would be able to buy this from the creators at a bargain since they seemed to move on from this. It still could be a profitable venture from an investor standpoint but maybe not for the casual investor. There is a lot of risk with this unless you have the bank to cover a potential loss or have a development team up and running.

Hi Tina and Tariq, Thanks for your feedback. The "on hiatus" part through me too as when I first choose this product I was really excited about it. I had started research and creating the videos when I heard back from one of the developers at the last minute. I agree that the on hiatus part would scare off a lot of people. However, I was thinking over the last couple of days that a potential investor could buy the app outright from the creator and further develop the product. I feel that Project TimeTravel has great "bones" that could be built upon. I never heard back from the developer about whether he was interested in selling his unfinished project to a more experienced game/app developer. The game/app developer would be the target market for this product at this time, where the educational industry would the target market for the future developed version.

Nice Daniel. Looks like you got a great add on for doing your marks. Looks way better and easier than MyEdBC software.

Cool book format. Stupid Watermark.
I also was thinking a lot about VR this term. A lot of the games being developed for the rift are for gamers and not a lot for education. Considering how at my high school they are very BYOD heavy I wonder if students will be bringing in their oculus rift headsets for their classes in the next few years.

I totally got your idea right away. I lived in a northern First Nation town and know exactly what it is like to get your food from the grocery store in a northern community. All of the food was shipped in and it cost a fortune to get fresh veggies and fruit. My family would do a large shop at the Save on Foods 350kms away and buy like $1000 worth of food to last us a month. A lot of the locals would buy the cheapest meals for the family, which was processed fast food like fries and chicken "nuggets". The grocer that operated the store would just stock up on the fast food and the veggies that they had were not fresh or affordable. When we bought veggies at the store it was on a must need basis.
