Hi Ram, Thank you for this Venture, or Adventure as you put it. You have given a clear problem, the current system of education, and indicate that there is a need for a change. You also provide a solution to the problem. By using Micro Learning and Virtual School students can transform their learning. I would be interested in investing in those Venture, but am curious about the growth plan. You indicate that there would be few staff members. If this is the case then how many staff members would you be hoping to have? Also, how can this school be different then other e-learning platforms? I would be willing to invest.

Carlo, Thank you for this Venture Pitch. You identified a problem and then create a clear solution and a practical application.Grading and assessment are incredibly important to education, but at times can become merely a checklist. Gradenetix can solve this problem and there is a clear market for it. A couple of aspects that I would want to learn more about before investing are the subjectivity of the system and how well would it sync with different LMS. It was indicated that it could mark up to 99% accurately on assignments, would this be in all subject areas or specific ones? How much say would the educator have in the final mark if needed? Also, would this be able to be used with different Learning Management systems? I would be interested in investing in this venture pitch.

Hi Christopher, This Elevator Pitch was well done and I was interested in it the moment I started to watch it. You identified the problem and a clear and practical solution. This type of a platform would be incredibly valuable, especially as many schools are now going towards e-learning. This would encourage students to continue learning and could boost engagement, which can be difficult to do in an online setting. As an educator, I would invest as I can see that there is a large practical component and that helps to streamline accounts and learning. As an investor, I would invest because of the beneficial aspects and because of the clear plan and picture that you gave.

Hi Carla, Thank you for this Venture Pitch! Creating opportunities for developing countries (and developed countries) is a great idea, especially in Science as our world needs more young people to pursue science. As an educator, I would invest, but as an investor, I am hesitant because I would want to know more about the plan to grow and develop the company.

Hi Brian, Thank you for this pitch. I think that this can be a strong tool if developed a bit more. There is a clear use for it, but I think it would take a great deal or marketing to really launch it. It is a great idea that has potential.

Hi Tyler, Thank you for your pitch! Your overall pitch was good and easy to follow. The idea is really good and practical given the times that we are in. A point that I was interested to learn more about was, how does your product kill more germs than traditional hand sanitizers?

21 Mar Posted on Hi Gregory, You have posed some great qu…

It is going to really interesting to see what happens and there are a lot of unanswered questions to work through. We are in a totally new era of teaching and this whole situation has acted as a catalyst to transform education. As far as teaching online, this is something that is new to me, but I enjoy using technology and am familiar with a variety of online platforms. I think using a variety of strategies (videos, games, etc) will still be important for both teachers and students. As well as getting students to go out in the world (safely) to practice what is being taught online. There needs to be a balance somehow.

This OER was excellent! I can see that there are many benefits of microlearning and that there will be uses for this for many years to come. As students become increasingly involved with their mobile devices micro-learning will become more important. As the world changes so to will education and this system could be path that education takes. Thank you again for a great OER!

16 Mar Posted on Is this the strangest, most important time in history for online education?

Thanks for posting this! I think that it is really important to be speaking about this at this level as well. As more schools close across Canada at different levels there will be more and more educators starting to use online tools. How will this be done effectively? How will students learn and be taught? We are entering an unprecedented time. It will be incredibly important to share knowledge, ideas and resources with fellow educators. We are in an interesting time.

12 Mar Posted on Week 10 – AI in Education: Forecast 2020

Hi guys! This was a great OER. Thank you for all of the great work that you provided us with. I learned a lot about it and have a much better understanding of AI. AI has a lot of potential and I think it can be beneficial. How likely will it be that it will play a larger role in education moving forward?
