REVIEW: Hi Monique, I really liked the idea you present here in your elevator pitch. It is a great concept. It certainly helps two populations at once with one resource which is always nice. Your venture pitch covered all of the key categories (problem, product, market) and was well researched. I would maybe put in something about quality control in the longer pitch. How can you guarantee that the reading that students are recording is accurate enough that others can be learning from it? I also liked how you differentiated your product from what is already available. Well done!

REVIEW: I think the clarity of your elevator pitch was excellent. You did a fantastic job of introducing your product. One really small thing is that I think you may have said Masters of Information Technology instead of MET. Your pitch made me want to learn more and check out your site. I also liked how you tied in the guidance counselor element to your product. Your weebly site is very well organized and clearly laid out. You have defined all of the major categories very well. I also like how you clearly defined the features of your product. One suggestion, and this is totally a personal preference type of thing, would be to put the picture of the elephant with the string on its finger up near the header of your site and maybe also include it somewhere in your elevator pitch. That will stick with people and help to create a brand awareness I think...

REVIEW- I think you have a really interesting idea here in your venture pitch. It is something that could benefit so many! Your video made me want to check out your site to learn more. So in that sense I think your elevator pitch is really effective. I know it is hard to include so much information in such a short time but it might be a good idea to include a bit more info about your market potential in the elevator pitch. Your site is very informative, I especially like how you have included your inspiration. Thinking more like an investor I think it would be nice for your elevator pitch to be a bit more visually similar to the venture pitch. I think that this would be an interesting project to pursue!

FEEDBACK - I really enjoyed the clarity and enthusiasm of your voice in your elevator pitch. It sounded like Originator was successful as it was easy to use, interactive and mobile...I would maybe highlight that a bit to explain why Originator is crossing into professional development training. I really liked the pacing of your pitch as well, I think calmness shows confidence!

FEEDBACK – As an online student I really like this idea, it can definitely be a pain to try and coordinate all of the elements in a group project. I have used Trello in the past and found it intuitive and helpful. You did a great job of presenting a convincing pain point. I would suggest giving a little bit more info on how Trello will outperform any improvements made by the LMS in terms of collaboration/organization spaces. Nicely done!

FEEDBACK - I'm not sure the best way to give feedback for venture pitches so I think I will go with a two stars and a wish style approach. 2 stars – I think your elevator pitch video has a nice feel to it – the music is suitable, the tone of your voice is calm and relaxed which I think would put potential investors at ease. You have lots of great ideas in terms of how to update journals and make them more interactive. I also like your slogan at the end, “the modern way to journal”. My one wish would be to hear a bit more about what the market is like and the potential for investors to benefit.

FEEDBACK - I'm not sure the best way to give feedback for venture pitches so I think I will go with a two stars and a wish style approach. 2 stars – I really like the name of your venture it is clever and easy to remember. In your elevator pitch the introductory story was really effective. It set the tone that your venture is solving a real problem. My one wish would be to give a little bit more info on why someone would choose BrigET over trying to go with information/resources that are freely available online.

FEEDBACK - I'm not sure the best way to give feedback for venture pitches so I think I will go with a two stars and a wish style approach. 2 stars – The presentation of your elevator pitch was very well done, it was both clear and well paced. I also liked how you stated your qualifications at the beginning. It was an effective way to establish your expertise and gain the investor’s trust right at the start. My one wish is more related to my own uncertainty of how things work in higher education. I think that support for blended learning programs is a great idea, I am just unsure of whether or not that would happen internally through a professional employed directly by the institution or if a higher education institution would contract that out?

FEEDBACK - I'm not sure the best way to give feedback for venture pitches so I think I will go with a two stars and a wish style approach. 2 stars – I was really impressed with the quality of your pitch video, your graphics look great and you do a good job of speaking about your product. I also like the idea behind your pitch. As an online teacher I would love to have help developing and improving courses that I have inherited. That said I know there just isn’t money (at least in my district) for any development support. There isn’t even TOC release time to work on it, it is all part of your position whether you have time for it or not. So my one wish would be to have another look at who to market to I'm not sure K-12 public schools are in the position to use this currently – maybe private schools would have better resources for this? Or perhaps other post-secondary or training institutions?

FEEDBACK - I'm not sure the best way to give feedback for venture pitches so I think I will go with a two stars and a wish style approach. 2 stars - I think your pitch was presented with a confident and convincing tone. I also think your passion for creating a locally relevant product would go along way to persuade investors. My one wish would be for a bit more information on the competition and how you differentiate from it as I imagine there are many language learning options on the market. Thanks for sharing your pitch!
