A3-Venture pitch- MapleSoft
By Mehdia on August 4, 2014
Hello Everyone, I took up a teaching position in UAE last year and soon I realized that methods of assessment which are currently used in this part of the world are conventional and decades old. I, therefore, chose to focus on my real venture which I am going to pursue later on. Due to lack […]
Week 11-3D printing
By mehdia73 on July 29, 2014
Hi week 11 -3D group. Though I read and heard about 3D printing but this OER gave me an insight on how 3D printing can successfully used in teaching and learning. I can undoubtedly see enormous benefits of using 3D in teaching and learning. Many curriculum areas require students to think, to problem solve and […]

By mehdia73 on July 14, 2014
Week 9 group… well done on your topic of social media!!! By using Edmodo you have demonstrated a practical use of SM in learning context. In my other MET course I have read a lot about the use of SM in classroom but from the practical side I have noticed that educators are not very […]

My Venture/My Reflection: In my school, there is a strong emphasis on literacy & numeracy and educators constantly look for ways to teach students with 21st century skills. Therefore, I chose Khan Academy for my analyst report as we are considering to seek services from this online educational company. The analysis of this venture shows many […]

Anne, great work!!!! I can see that with the practical experience of classroom teaching you have made your product / venture valid, genuine and factual. This is evident that E-kuest can become successful. As an EVA, my big concern that since it is a free product, it will be difficult to motivate the investor community and therefore that should have been your central analysis. Overall a very readable and well designed presentation.

Review: Yuki as mentioned by the other evaluators your both elevator and venture pitch are excellent. I really like that you effectively used the powtoon with your voice over and graphics in a narrative style. Your analytic arguments were factual, concise, and confidently expressed. My only concern is the amount which you are asking from an investor is too high with little information provided about the return. This needed to be thought further in detail. Other than that, an appealing presentation.

Feedback: Your venture is unique and purposeful. Since the focus of your business venture is a larger market this makes it more lucrative and profitable. Your competitive analysis is comprehensive and thorough. This makes it more attractive for an investor. My only concern is the budget and the costing part of your venture. Great work!!!

Feedback:Use of info graphics made your pitch very attractive and appealing. The organization of your venture was great and easy to follow. Your analytic arguments were factual, concise, and confidently expressed. As an investor I was impressed to know about the key players and the competitors of this product. Having said that I feel that your ‘ask’,budget and return needs more depth and detail as currently it looks uninspiring and vague. Overall Angela good job!!!

Review: Bobbi your venture on wearable technology is great. Your analytic arguments were factual, concise, and confidently expressed. As an educator we know that there are many students who are shy to seek help from teachers and from their peers. I can see that using this wearable device you can empower your student’s intellectual capacity. Furthermore, I think the power of wearable devices for education is tied very closely with their mobility. Much like mobile devices such as smart phones, wearable technology can be with the learner at all times. Therefore your product is unique in this sense. I can see that your pricing is also very reasonable which makes it more marketable and saleable. I have mainly two concerns with your pitch. One you need to need work on the competitive framework of your product as you need to provide a decision centric analysis to a prospective investor. My other concern is that though you covered most of the elements but your pitch was too short and brief. Overall you did a good job and I will be happy to recommend your venture.

Review: Ashley your idea of language buddy is super. In your elevator pitch you seem confident. Your analytic arguments were factual, concise, and confidently expressed. My only big concern with your venture pitch is that as you mentioned it will be a free product, therefore motivations of the investor community will be a challenge.

Feedback: I am impressed with your effective and efficient use of powtoons in your elevator pitch. It seems to be the best one so far. Your venture details are clearly stated in your pdf document. In explaining the problem and its solution you should have focused more in providing details and decision centric analysis to a prospective investor. Overall it was a great work.

Feedback:Tiffany you well stated the problem. As an EVA, I like that you included facts which made your case strong. Your presentation on weebly was well organized. The use of 5 W’s made it simple and easy to navigate. Your explanation of how your training consultants will help the companies was comprehensive. In your elevator pitch you look very confident and positive. While analyzing critically as an EVA, your competitive framework and your “ask” needs more depth and detail as it looks uninspiring. Overall great work !!!
