Hello Everyone, My name is Sarah Parker and this is my eighth course in the MET program. I am a Grade One teacher in Vancouver. I enjoy running, hiking, yoga and cooking in my spare time. I am looking forward to ETEC 522 because it appears to be completely different from any of the other […]

FEEDBACK- Your venture addresses a great concern with educators and parents globally. Your product has found a way to include students, parents and educators into meeting the student’s need in a positive format. I am still unclear on how investors can make a large profit from your venture. I am also concerned with how you would receive permission and the release of the results from parents to test for dyslexia in their child.

FEEDBACK- Your venture does touch upon a growing concern in our culture. Not just a videogame addiction but the number of hours our youth spends on technology is concerning as well. I appreciated how you were direct and clear on where the investor’s money will be directed too. I am not investing in your venture because I find it problematic that your program is online when this is what the client is addicted too.

REVIEW: Cloudle is an excellent education tool. It is innovative, individualized, and unique. I have already used Cloudle in my classroom. Cloudle is in tuned with the needs in education today. My only concern is the adaptation to the primary grades. How can we make this program more marketable to learners who are not yet literate? I believe your team’s outstanding qualification would be able to answer my concerns. I look forward in doing business with you.

2. REVIEW: Excellent venture idea! As an educator who goes on one fieldtrip a month, I can see the value and need for an app like yours. Before I fully invest in your venture I do have some questions that need to be answer. Firstly, who and what are our competition? Are there other apps like yours on the market? Secondly, who is your team and what are their qualifications? Finally, with money in education lacking, what can we do to lower the price of the app to make it accessible to all? Your venture has a great foundation and this is why I am investing in your venture.

FEEDBACK: Your venture identified a large concern many parents, teachers and students share- communication. You do not state that your product could be used beyond the education boarders. Business and sports teams all face similar challenges with communication and your app could be the perfect solution for them. I suggest you market your app beyond education. I am not investing in your venture because there are very similar free apps on the market now. If you can identify how your app is different, you could see great success with your venture.

FEEDBACK: Your venture found a problem in education and business and offers a solution. Every small to big business wants to encourage professional development but seems to fall short of meeting their employees needs. My only hesitation in investing in your venture is that that the budget for professional development is always an after thought for most companies. Companies see the importance in professional development; however, other elements of their business become more of a priority.

REVIEW: I am very interested in investing in your venture. Your venture appears to be reflecting what is needed in education and business. I am investing in your venture because you product is not only marketable in education, but we can make a profit in businesses as well. However, I would suggest that we develop an “add on” for companies and classrooms that already have projectors and Smartboards. This way there is no limit to our market. If you are interested in this expansion- I am your investor!

FEEDBACK: Your idea is unique and refreshing. Education can be an archaic sector at times and your venture pushes education into the twenty-first century and beyond. I am not investing in your venture because education lacks the great funding your project needs. In schools learning spaces is always lacking and your project would have no physical room in our already crowed schools. I am also unclear of how your venture fits into the already full curriculum. I feel as if your venture would be better suited for spas, membership clubs and airports.

2. FEEDBACK: Your venture would be another addition in the highly profitable ESL market. However, in the vast sea of ESL programs available, I am still unclear what truly sets your program apart from your competitors. Now there are free apps that are successful and highly effective for ESL students. You picked a very lucrative but too competitive market for my investment.

1. FEEDBACK: Your venture would be a dream come true for all teachers. Report cards are the most stressful time of the year for teachers, especially elementary teachers. My only concern as an investor is- education is pushing and places more pressure on teachers towards increased individualized learning and assessment. Your program takes some of the individualization out of report card writing. However, I do see how your product would be of great value in a teacher’s perspective in education.
