Week 12 : Review
By Sayali on August 7, 2014
Hello Team Week 12, Your OER truly reflected the time and efforts put in by the group. To begin with it was well designed and laid before the audiences. The tasks and the platforms were very well explained. The sections provided a 360 degree view of the wearables from the point of view of all […]

Week 11 Review
By Sayali on July 28, 2014
Hello Week 11 Team, Thank You so much for introducing us to a delightful new technology. I remember the first time I saw a 3D printing video 3 years back, I wondered how would this be relevant to the common man and how could such a costly technology be afforded. And yet, there it is, […]

Hello Group week 9, Thanks for a real immersive experience ! So I think it was real experiential learning. I also […]
Review – Week 7
By Sayali on July 2, 2014
Hello group 7, Thank you for an informative and challenging week. Apart from the clear instructions and the professional look of your OER, the thing that impressed me most was the active and insightful moderation of the discussions. The moderation was not just limited to agreeing or disagreeing with the posts, but went beyond to […]

REVIEW: One of the rare pitches with more Reviews than Feedbacks :) . The concept is extremely new and interesting to me. The Elevator pitch left me asking for more. The visuals are very creative. I especially liked the 3D effect created using the raised hands. The problem is very well articulated and the solution is expressed clearly. You speak professionally yet passionately. There are detailed revenue calculations and growth projections. The pitch also seems to be based on well researched data. The statistics and projections are grounded. Just a few suggestions - Not reading / not understanding casual stuff might not necessarily mean that the kids do not read / understand stuff that matters to them. It would have been great if the pain point would have been supported by data. A human face would have added to the credibility if the product. Also I would have liked the presentation to be a little shorter. Overall, a great pitch, one that I really learned a lot from. Good Luck !

REVIEW: I found the idea of the venture refreshingly new. TheVenture pitch is very creative and engaging with great cartoons. I also appreciated the fact that the use of cartoons was not simply to visualize what was said, but included an element of fun in them. The pace is just right for people to process the information. You also seem to have a very clear design of what the product would do, what features it would have. This is something rare as a lot of pitches I saw were a little vague when it came to how the product works. A lot of thought has also gone into the technical details of the product like requirements, preferred language, what platforms are supported etc. It is surprising to see how so much information could be summed up so clearly and engagingly in th given time. On the flip side however, I feel that the pitch is targetted more at customers than investors. It does not define the ask or the return on investment. Also there are no numbers on the market size or competitors. I would have also liked to see a human face to add to the believability of the venture. The elevator pitch could do better with a voice over / music. It feels a little blank. Overall, I really think that the idea has great potential, just a few grounded statistics would take it there.

REVIEW: An extremely innovative idea ! I think you the nail pain point correctly regarding the importance of flexible interactive maps. In addition to that, I feel such maps would also help students understand history better in context of the Geographical locations of different places and connect the dots to understand the big picture. The elevator pitch is engaging. The background music has an adventurous tone and it complements the theme of Maps and exploration. Your voice is clear, confident and you appear totally in control. I would suggest using images with better resolution for the elavator pitch. The Venture pitch too is clear in conveying both the pain and solution. You have touched on all the points of the checklist. Just a few questions / suggestions - Incorporating the names/ backgrounds of the team would have made the pitch more authentic. Also I do not see what the Return on investment would be for the Investors. It is mentioned that the new product would be affordable, but no number is assigned to it. That makes it difficult to compare. Lastly, though the data goes to show that GIS / Geographical industry growth is high, the source could be sophisticated GIS systems used in defence, petroleum companies, government sectors etc. and not necessarily from educational sector. However, overall a great Idea and a detailed Venture pitch ! Good Luck.

FEEDBACK: I like the confidence and enthusiasm in your voice ! You sound extremely professional. My only point of concern is that I think the product seems to have a limited scope. Also a stand alone mounted camera rather than a webcam (I assume) would work even better. An Engaging pitch! Good Luck.

FEEDBACK: Nice work. The elevator pitch is appropriat in length and leaves you asking for more. I would suggest use of better resolution pictures. I did not completely understand the pulling content from the web part .. how is it different from students searching for their own content on the web ? Good Luck.

FEEDBACK: Nice work ! I liked the idea of the venture. The elevator pitch raises curiosity and made me read the entire venture pitch to know the exact nature of the project. I think you have clearly deatiled most aspects of the venture pitch. I would have liked some more figures about the current market size and the names of people in your team. Just a quick question - Inspite of the profiling of customers part, what makes the courses your company offers great in themselves ? Good Job ! Best !

FEEDBACK : Chris, I really appreciate the efforts you have taken in developing the complete weebly site in the most professional manner. I also think that you have gone into great details in explaining each facet of pro T right to the revenue model and return on investment. Just acouple of quick thoughts - I think the camera did not face you directly in the elevator pitch. You appear in a slight side profile. I would have liked if there were a few figures regarding the market size. Also a last question - why would a certification from a relatively new program be valuable to the teachers ? Good Luck !

FEEDBACK : I really like the idea of the venture. I am sure there could be a lot of takers for this product, however it would depend on how it is priced. Being an ESL teacher myself, I agree that such a product would save a lot of time.. I think the pitch was done very professionally and included most of the checkpoints. As a suggestion, I would recommend adding a little music to the prezi. Also capturing a 50 % market share by 2015 -16 seems a little ambitious to me. Good Luck !

FEEDBACK: Nice pitch Bobbi ! You have never failed to surprise me. You have said all the right things in less than half the time :) I personally believe that the shorter your pitch, the more effective it tends to be. Apart from the correctly timed animation, the clear message, I also liked the fact that you presented a detailed worldwide market analysis to support the argument. If at all you need suggestions, then I would suggest you could work a little on the voice. Keep it up !
