Hi Leah! I like the website and your business idea. You have overcome the troubles you faced during the process of creating the pitch, and the website is very professional and shows your deep knowledge and research on the ESL market. You focused on advanced secondary school students in the ESL market, which is a good area. As you pointed out, there is a niche in the age level in the ESL resource market, and I actually need your service for the returnee students who moved from English-speaking countries. I would like to know more about the sales strategy in the competitive market.

FEEDBACK : Hi Laura, I am particularly resonated with the pain points you are solving, that supports online learners to prevent dropping out. Your service working on the existing LMS is a good idea. I would like to know the price settings and provision of the revenue model are, and how you will survive in the big market. I think the service like Course Coach is definitely needed and your point of view is excellent!

FEEDBACK: Virtual Reality in the educational settings would be an area that business ventures are still exploring, and your point is excellent. I am not sure how actually your products are integrated in the curriculums, and this will be the area that you can improve on. The screenshots gave me the clear image of your products, but on the elevator pitch, it was not really clear if the VR is provided in the game devices or other platforms.

FEEDBACK : I didn’t know! You clearly illustrated the rationale of the venture and the fact that the majority of the teachers spending their personal money on the class libraries are astonishing. The strength of your venture is also in your clear revenue model. It is feasible and would attract the customers.

FEEDBACK : Hi KBurden, Your presence on the elevator pitch gave positive impact on your venture. Your explanation is clear and your passion for the PBL improvement is apparent. The elevator pitch is a bit long, and if you could support your comments with visual aid, it would gain strength in your pitch.

FEEDBACK : Hi Ekichen, Your market focus is on workplace health and safety, that is specific and you sited the reference that supports the market needs. You described the detailed budget of the venture; on the other hand, I could not find the amount you are asking for investors. The document based venture pitch stands out and I like it.

REVIEW : Jonathan, 60 takes deserved it! I like how you create your pitch with the CEO presentation focus. Your presentation is clear and credible, even though you are explaining the most cutting edge technology that apt to sound unpractical. The usage of your product covers multi areas such as video games, and mental well-being. I would like to know how your product makes difference in the each area compared to other products. What should be improved? How would you change as a pioneer? The needs should be different largely by each market you mentioned. If you focus on the video game industry, you can appeal this point earlier on your pitch. I also wondered how your background as an educational technologist relates to the development of the venture. I think video game application can be applied to the educational settings. You can step forward your service by thinking about some application to the actual scenario where the users wear your product. I appreciate your ambition in this venture pitch that tackled with electro-encephalography that holds a big market potential.

REVIEW: Hi Helder, Wonderful idea! I am a heavy highlights and annotation user, and I understand how these learning activities reflect my understanding level. Your venture’s focus is ahead of other competitors, and I will invest on the business idea. The presentation gave me the clear understanding of what you would like to solve and how, that sounds feasible. You presented that you conducted a pilot marketing with the teachers in Canada, and gained the positive feedbacks from them, which is appealing. In the projections you will have 5000 users at the end of year 2. To accomplish this projection, the methods how you acquire the users are the key to success. I would like to know your strategy of the campaign more. Free start will be a primer fro the premium service, and the price setting is reasonable. Your asking funding amount is very small compared to other educational startups, and I wonder how you will cover the costs that you have spent on the development of the system. Overall, your venture pitch covers all the information needed and it is excellent.

REVIEW: Hi Kendra, The engaging video with professional visual presentation and narration caught my interests. Your venture pitch gave us a clear rationale of the venture, which is appealing and easy to follow. The business performance you have made and the networks with the school districts are the strongest point of your venture. You would be able to appeal your groups’ experiences in the market more, and tell how you will expand the service by SOOCs. I understand that the pain points you illustrated are all related to the SOOCs’ motivation, but in the venture pitch, they give the impression of being too broad. For example, special education and technology are targeted in your market section, and you can dig up pain points in those areas more? You did not mention much about special education. The business model is described in detail and co-creation of resources and curriculums, having based on the review and evaluation of the clients’ programs seems to be very attractive. The investors and the decision makers in the districts will be interested in the cost saving amount compared to the existing professional development services.
