I read through this and found myself asking the question – what does this do differently from facebook or Edmodo? I am still searching for this answer, I don’t really see a need for this and their still seem to be red flags surrounding bullying and harassment. In terms of the founders, Michael Callahan’s resume reads like to the prototypical Silicone Valley start-up CEO. He certainly seems to have the expertise and experience to be a successful entrepreneur and for the most part would be a strong role model for other start-up entrepreneurs due to his track record of success. In Cory he seems to have found a partner who is skilled at raising funds. The rest of the team certainly seems to be capable as well. The addition of Dmitri Merkin in particular seems like a useful addition as he will be able to bring in further talent to help the development of the product. What seems missing here is growth focused director. Typically start-up CEOs with Callahan’s background may struggle to grow the business or take it to that next level and having a growth focused director with a business background could help overcome this.
