Thanks Danielle for such an inspiring post about this entrepreneur! I’ve only heard little things here and there about DuoLingo, and clearly it’s grown immensely since I last heard about it! Wow! The app clearly boasts a model consistent with modern learning trends (gamification) and free is always the right price for schools, swiftly beating out the competition. von Ahn is clearly deeply connected to his communities from his other successful ventures and it looks like those connections are heavily aiding in his work with DuoLingo. I love that he is also a learner at the heart of all of this; deeply entrenched within his own research to make the lives of people better and their accessibility to education more available.
