That’s neat! It seems that Brazil’s Voxy’s biggest single market. I’ve wondered if this type of learning – individualized, less formal – aligns with Brazil’s educational culture. Perhaps in different countries or contexts, the idea of having a set curriculum is more attractive than being able to choose your own. It’s tricky to take on the ‘world’ of ESL – there are so many different types of learning and reasons for learning that having a single company or approach (even if it is customizable!) might be reaching a bit too far. Teaching and exploring English Language Learning and Learners has definitely shown me that there are so many subsets of the ESL population; I believe new ventures might want to target more specific groups of learners.
