Hello Gary. I thought you are perfectly correct when you said that there isn't much information about the use and potential of apps in the wearable technology market. Wearable Technology has been a technology that I am watching closely ever since Apple entered into the market. But I am not overly interested in this technology from an educational point view but rather I am interested from a health and fitness instead. The cost of these devices are high enough that an educator cannot buy these devices from their meagre classroom budget but instead it will have to be bought from the principal or district assistant super-intendant. From what I have observed and have experienced even though the platforms for these devices are decent, and will drastically improve within the next few years, the app ecosystem is lethargic. The apps that are made by the companies such as Apple, Garmin, Samsung etc are decent every other app is a distant 2nd and the reason for that is because it takes time for 3rd party developers to learn this brand new platform, access what the market demands are and then develop the product.
